The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc.- New Haven Metropolitan Chapter (NCBW-NHMC) cordially invites you to our inaugural Candace's Tea! Join us for a royal afternoon honoring women from our community who make a difference in the lives of women and girls and support our mission of eliminating the socioeconomic and gender inequality facing them, especially in the areas of education, health, economics and public policy.
Our guest speaker is the fabulous, Mikki Taylor, Editor-at-large for Essence Magazine. Mikki Taylor is the author of Self Seduction: Your Ultimate Path to Inner & Outer Beauty and Commander-in-Chic: Every Woman's Guide to Handling Herself Like a First Lady. She has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, The View, The Today Show, Weekend Today, The Early Show, NBC Nightly News, EXTRA, Inside Edition, E! The theme for the afternoon is, "The Queen in Me Honors the Queen in You." Tickets are $65.00 per person and include an afternoon of food, drinks, inspiration, and celebration! Honoree Reception VIP tickets ($100.00) are also available. These VIP tickets offer you early access to our event and the opportunity to enjoy a 2:00 PM cocktail reception with our honorees and guest speaker. The suggested attire for the afternoon is African garb or business attire. A silent auction will also take place throughout the event.
The NCBW-NHMC is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. All ticket purchases qualify as tax deductions where permitted by law.
