There are a lot of concerns when a woman is first diagnosed with breast cancer. Getting to their chemo and radiation treatments shouldn't be one of them.
The National Council of 100 Black Women is sponsoring the "One Thousand Rides" Campaign which is an initiative that will pay for or subsidize the transportation costs to and from chemotherapy and radiation treatments for breast cancer patients. A $12.00 donation will pay for or subsidize the cost for one way transportation. Let those undergoing chemo or radiation know that you are thinking of them.
